<p>A static extractor consists of an upper horizontal panel (6) located in line with the axis of the duct and above its upper end. The panel is separated from a lower supporting member (2) with a central aperture (4) by means of four legs (7) situated at the corners of the extractor, with side openings (8) between the legs and the top panel and lower supporting member. The lower edges of the apertures have surfaces with different slopes from the inside outward, the inner section (10) of the slope being steeper (45 - 50 deg) than the outer section (12) of the slope (60 - 70 deg). The corner legs have an oval cross-section, the longer axes of which are aligned with the centre of the extractor. Each leg is in two sections connected by a rubber plate to compensate for tolerances in manufacture.</p> |
