Ionic compound is claimed which contains at least one A<+>X<-> group in which A<+> is cation selected from biaryliodonium, arylsulphonium, arylacylsulphonium, diazonium, and organometallic cations containing transition metal complexed by at least one 4-12C unsaturated cyclic compound; said cationic group eventually becoming part of polymer chain; and X<-> is imiduric anionÄFSO2NSO2R'fÜ<->, ÄRfCH2OSO2NSO2R'fÜ<->, Ä(Rf)2CHOSO2NSO2R'fÜ<->, or methyluric anion ÄFSO2C(Q)SO2R'fÜ<->, ÄRfCH2OSO2C(Q)SO2R'fÜ<->, or Ä(Rf)2CHOSO2C(Q)SO2R'fÜ<->; in which Q = H, Cl, F-, Br, CN, or 1-30C alkyl, or 6-30C aryl, alkylaryl, or arylalkyl, or groups selected from R"f, R"fSO2, R"fCH2OSO2, (R"f)2CHOSO2; Rf, R'f, R"f are selected, when X<-> is methyluric, from fluorine, 1-30C perhaloalkyl, 2-30C (perhaloalkyl)alkoxy, 3-30C perhalogenocycloaliphatic, possibly containing heteroatoms and/or perhaloalkyl chain, and 6-30C perhalogenated aryl; or better, Rf, R'f form divalent rad ical selected from 2-8C perfluoroalkene; or better still, R'f, R"f , or Rf, R"f form said divalent radical. Also claimed are: (1) preparation of the compound; (2) method for polymerisation or crosslinking using the compound as photoinitiator; and (3) modification of solubility properties of a polymer, containing acid-sensitive groups, which uses the compound. |
