<p>The invention relates to a method and a device to restore a staircase. The restoration is effected with the aid of new tread elements (14) which are laid on top of the old steps (11, 12) and are fixed thereto with the aid of tread profiles. The cavities remaining between the old steps, the new tread elements and the profiles are filled with an assembly foam (18) which has a reaction time of several hours and during this time undergoes at most a twofold increase in volume. As a result, it is possible to foam the old steps, the profiles and optionally the tread elements in place, subsequently to assemble and align the different parts precisely, and finally to allow the assembly foam to harden. The tread profile (1) possesses three legs (2, 3, 4) arranged above one another and parallel to one another and a profiled part (6) connecting the latter, which is provided on its visible side with at least one receiving groove (9) intended to receive a cover layer (7). <IMAGE></p> |
