In a method of straightening warp of a steel strip, caused by electric current carrying rolls and backup rolls, which hold therebetween the steel strip, in a horizontal type electroplating line, at least one backup roll is made smaller in diameter than an opposed electric current carrying roll, and is arranged to be offset by a value, which is preset depending upon an operating condition, relative to the opposed electric current carrying roll in a direction of advancement of the steel strip.
