PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polypeptide comprising a part ofδT cell receptor polypeptide and useful for detection of immuno abnormality, etc., by imparting specific properties. SOLUTION: This polypeptide has 40,000 dalton molecular weight, comprises at least a part ofδT cell receptor polypeptide such as humanδT cell receptor polypeptide and further has following physicochemical properties: (i) when the polypeptide being on the surface of T cell, the polypeptide bonds thereto as a complex with T3 antigen; (ii) the polypeptide does not react with an antibody againstαorβT cell receptor; (iii) the polypeptide does not react with a monoclonal antibodyδF1; (iv) the polypeptide does not react with an antibody againstγT cell receptor polypeptide. Moreover, the polypeptide is preferably an antibody such as a polyclonal or monoclonal antibody reactive to one or moteδT cell receptor polypeptide.
