PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a cooling operation even upto a core and thereby stabilize a product quality by first, previously cooling a hose inner tube at a specified temperature within a specified time, then cooling the inner tube with the help of a cooling device and braiding and winding a metal wire or an organic fiber for reinforcement around the outer periphery of the hose inner tube. SOLUTION: A hose inner tube 11 is fed out to a cooling chamber 31 passing through a communicating path 37 from a take-up drum 16 in a precooling chamber 36 whose temperature is kept at 0 deg.C or below. Further, the hose inner tube 11 is cooled by a cooling air at about -45 deg.C from a cooler 33, and then is cooled in a cooling cylinder 17 by the cooling air from the cooling chamber 33. After that, a metal wire 12 is wound around the outer periphery of the hose inner tube 11 in a braider 20 to obtain a metal wire-reinforced high pressure rubber hose 10, and this rubber hose 10 is taken up by a take-up drum 21 through a hose take-up device 22. Thus the high pressure rubber hose 11 is previously cooled at 0 deg.C or below, in the stage of the hose inner tube 11, at a precooling chamber 36. Therefore, the hose inner tube 11 is sufficiently cooled upto the core, so that it is not sent to the braider 20 under such a state that the part with insufficient hardness exists in the hose inner tube 11, and the qualitative defect of the high pressure rubber hose 10 is not expected. |
