PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition useful for electric parts, etc., excellent in black colorability, high in dielectric breakdown voltage, by making the composition contain a thermoplastic polyester resin, a flame-retardant, sodium antimonate, a black organic dye, etc., and carbon black in a specific ratio. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by blending (A) 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic polyester resin such as polyethylene terephthalate, (B) 5-20 pts.wt. of a flame-retardant such as bromine-based flame-retardant, (C) 2-10 pts.wt. of sodium antimonate of the formula ((x) is 0.1-1.0; (y) is 0-4), (D) 0.2-2.0 pts.wt. of a black organic dye such as 12H-phthaloperinone or a black organic pigment and (E) 0-0.3 pts.wt. of carbon black. Preferably, the component A has 0.7-1.2dL/g intrinsic viscosity [η].
