PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce force required for fitting a lid over a container main body and facilitate the placing of the lid over it, by disposing a guide taper rib formed so that the front end of an engagement projection or the vicinity of the front end and the inner surface of the vertical wall of a fitting part are connected to each other. SOLUTION: A guide taper rib 5 is formed so that the front end 2c of an engagement projection 2 or the vicinity of it and a specific point 1a' on the inner surface of a vertical wall 1a outside a fitting part 1' which is situated lower than the lower end 2d of the engagement projection 2 are connected to each other. Thus, an inclination angleβformed between the perpendicular line of the guide taper rib 5 and it is made smaller than an inclination angleαformed between the perpendicular line of the lower face 2b of the engagement projection 2 and it. When the angular part 3a' of the upper part of a ringlike bulge 3a in a container main body 3 is guided to the guide taper rib 5, it does not come into contact with the lower face 2b of the engagement projection 2, therefore this reduces resisting force exerted when the ringlike bulge 3a slides over the engagement projection 2, that is, force with which the lid 1 is fitted over the container main body 3. Thus, the placing of the lid 1 over the container main body 3 is facilitated.
