PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease a force peak in a shift process, in this shift unit for a transmission. SOLUTION: In this shift unit for an automobile transmission, it is provided with a added mass 14 to heighten the moment of inertial mass in a shift shaft 11 in order to decrease a force peak of manual shift force for a transmission coupling device lying between a manual shift lever to be used for the engagement of shift speeds and its release and a shift lever 12 being locked to the shift shaft 11. In addition, a buffer member 19 is installed in a transmission route of shift force. |
