MAMMARY GLAND VECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new vector inserting a DNA containing a specific control region for a mammary gland into a yeast artificial chromosome vector and capable of producing an animal expressing an extrinsic gene in its mammary gland in which the extrinsic gene is transducer and producing a protein in a milk. SOLUTION: This mammary gland expressing vector is used for preparing an animal expressing an extrinsic gene in its mammary gland in which the extrinsic gene is transduced and producing a protein prescribed by the extrinsic gene in a milk. The vector is prepared by inserting a wide range of DNA region containing a control region of a lactoprotein gene specifically expressed in a mammary gland into a yeast artificial chromosome (YAC) vector and can effectively prepare a transgenic animal producing a desired useful protein in a milk, and its production cost can steeply be reduced.
