PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer material for a heat-insulating window pane unit and/or a spacer frame, that are easy to manufacture, have good heat insulation performance, and twist little. SOLUTION: A heat insulating unit 20 has a pair of glass sheets 24, 26 bonded to and held against the outer surface 48 of a spacer frame 22 by a moisture- impermeable adhesive sealant 46. The spacer frame 22 is fabricated by either joining parts of a spacer material together or curving a long spacer material. The spacer material comprises a pair of outer legs 30, 32 coupled together by a base 34 and has a U-shaped cross section as a whole. Each of the outer legs is formed into a hairpin cross section by a pair of members 36, 42 to control twisting. Preferably, only one 36 of the members is connected to the base 34 for reduced heat conduction. |
