发明名称 PRODUCTION OF POLYMER PARTICLE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently obtain polymer particles of microsizes having a relatively uniform particle size distribution through simple operations by forming a specific O/W type emulsion and polymerizing the emulsion. SOLUTION: (A) A solution containing (i) 100 pts.wt. of a polymerizable monomer, (ii) 0.01-20 pts.wt. of a substance slightly soluble in water having a solubility of <=0.05wt.% in water at 25 deg.C and the molecular weight of <=2,000 and (iii) 0.001-5 pts.wt. of a polymerization initiator having a solubility of <=0.05wt.% in water at 20 deg.C and (B) a solution comprising (i) 0.01-5 pts.wt. of an emulsifier and/or a water-soluble macromolecular compound and (ii) 100-500 pts.wt. of water are mixed and a mechanical shear force is applied to the mixture to prepare an O/W type emulsion and the emulsion is polymerized to give the objective polymer particles of average particle size of about 2-15μm. In a preferred embodiment, an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer is used as the component (i).
