PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject resin having a specific average rubber particle diameter, excellent in transparency, rigidity, elongation characteristics and impact resistance by polymerizing a styrenic monomer with a (meth)acryl group- containing compound in the presence of a butadiene-based rubber. SOLUTION: A styrenic monomer (preferably styrene) is polymerized with a compound (e.g. ethyl acrylate or methyl acrylate) containing an acryl group and/or methacryl group compound in the presence of a butadiene-based rubber to give the objective resin having 0.001-0.1μm average particle diameter of rubber particle, >=200,000 weight-average molecular weight of matrix and <=2,000ppm residual volatile component. The resin in an amount of 100 pts. wt. is mixed with <=10 pts.wt. of at least one additive selected from a mineral oil, high fatty acid, higher fatty acid metal salt, higher fatty acid amide and an antioxidant to give the objective rubber-modified styrene-based resin composition. |
