PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely measure current capacity of numerous batteries irrespective of rise or fall of an ambient temperature by obtaining characteristic curve based on measured values of battery temperature and a current capacity using an obtained correction curve based on a current capacity every ambient temperature that is different between typical battery charge and discharge periods. SOLUTION: Measured values such as current, temperature, or the like during battery charge and discharge periods and a program are inputted from measuring circuits 24 and 28 and an external memory 38 to an input port 34 of a computer. Based on these inputs, a current capacity at each different ambient temperature is found by current capacity measuring means 92, and based thereon a correction curve is obtained by correction curve producing means 94. Next, with regard to numerous batteries, current capacity is found similarly, and based on this current capacity and temperature measurement data of a predetermined timing due to temperature detecting means 96, a battery characteristic curve is obtained by characteristic curve producing means 98 using the correction curve. Based on the characteristic curve, a nominal current capacity of a measured battery is found by nominal capacity calculating means 100. |
