PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability and visibility by arranging an operation member for switching between a gaze input mode and a gaze input inhibition mode and a gaze mode state display means nearby an observation position respectively. SOLUTION: A gaze mode selection dial (operation member) 9 is arranged nearby a finder 7. A position 9A constituting a display means is aligned with the position of an index 10 and then the angle of rotation of the optical axis of the eyeball of a photographer is detected, so that a gaze input ON mode wherein information is inputted to a camera is selected according to the detection data. When a position 9B is aligned with the position of the index 10, a gaze OFF mode is selected. With a position 9C, a calibration mode is selected. The photographer performs switching between the gaze input mode and gaze input inhibition mode and confirm the gaze mode only by putting the eye away from the finder 7 and shifting the gaze slightly. |
