PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent for metals capable of executing surface coating by bivalent and higher valence metal ions together with removal of dirts. SOLUTION: This detergent is prepd. by compounding 0.1 to 10wt.% bivalent and higher valence ionizing metal-contg. liquid, 0.1 to 50wt.% surfactant, 0.1 to 30wt.% alcohol and the balance water. The lipophilic groups of the surfactant molecules conjugated with the water molecules finely segmented by the bivalent and higher valence metal ions included in the ionizing metal-contg. liquid of this detergent adhere to the surfaces of metallic products, thereby enclosing and dispersing the dirt. On the other hand, the bivalent and higher valence metal ions conjugated with the hydrophilic groups together with these water molecules crosslink (align) to the surfaces of the metallic products to coat the surfaces, thereby increasing the gloss and luster of these surfaces. |
