PURPOSE:To increase the efficiency of absorption of laser beam energy in powder and to enable treatment such as building up or alloying with low energy by dispersing and sticking fine particles to the surfaces of particles of a relatively large particle size and using the resulting combined powder. CONSTITUTION:Fine particles of 0.1-10mum particle size are dispersed and stuck to the surfaces of body particles of 20-200mum particle size having the same compsn. as the fine particles to obtain combined particles. Mechanical alloying or sticking at the time of atomization may be adopted as the dispersing and sticking method. The stuck particles on the surfaces of the body particles cause multipath reflection at the time of laser beam treatment and enhance the efficiency of absorption of laser beam energy. The combined particles hardly cause scattering because of the relatively large particle size and has satisfactory flowability. |
