INSTRUMENT PANEL SKIN PROVIDED INTEGRALLY WITH AIR BAG DOOR PART AND MANUFACTURE OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument panel skin keeping the sufficient rigidity without generating cracks or the like caused by the degradation in the tear part and the appearance of the tear part on a design surface. SOLUTION: An instrument panel 10 has the laminated structure consisting of a PVC(polyvinyl chloride resin) signal layer skin 20, PUR(polyurethane) foamed layer 22 and resin made base material 24. An air back door part 10A of the instrument panel 10 is formed with a H-shaped tear part 32 to be torn open. Short fibers 34 of polyester, nylon or the like are planted along the tear part 32 on the rear surface 20A of the skin 20. Also, an air bag door part 28 of the base material 24 is formed along the tear part 32 with a tearing-open part 28A.
