PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the slippage of a guide block, improve the appearance, dimensional precision and productivity, and manufacture it at low cost by cold- working stainless steel material into a trapezoid, cutting both the ends followed by sloping, correcting the curvature, fixing a stud, finishing the surface, and then forming a film on the surface. SOLUTION: A stainless steel material is cold-worked into a trapezoidal section, and both the ends are cut into a prescribed length and a prescribed from such as semi-circle by punching. Both the end parts are sloped by pressing or grinding so that both the end parts have the same inclined surfaces as both the side surfaces. After correcting the curvature, a required number of studs are fixed, and the surface is then finished by hair line working, polishing or grinding. Further, the whole surface on the surface side of a guide block, the upper surface, the inclined surface, or a part of the upper surface is flame coated, painted or plated by power flame coating by using ceramics such as Al2 O3 as frame coating material to form a film thereon. |
