The portable radio or tape recorder is carried by the listener on a belt around his neck and waist so that the loud-speaker is uppermost and the controls readily accessible on the side. The belt passing around the neck clips onto eyelets on the equipment and its length is such that the equipment lies on the listeners's chest. The waist belt is longer and passes round behind the listener where it hangs relatively loosely. The waist belt clips onto the sides of the equipment.
