PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for binarizing without scission of a fine line or vanishing of a point even if a halftone image is processed in a dither matrix having a print inhibit area for preventing cockling. SOLUTION: A print inhibit area for turning off a noted pixel as an object to be processed to output it is provided in a dither matrix used in the case of binarizing a halftone image. And, a means for deciding inclusion of the noted pixel as an element of a fine line or point of a halftone image in the area from that the density of the noted pixel is larger than a predetermined density L1 (YES in S260) and number of binarized dots is smaller than a predetermined value D1 by on of the vicinity (YES in S280) is provided in the area. When it is decided to include the noted pixel, it is binarized to turn on the noted pixel and output it (S240). |
