PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To p rovide an ink jet recorder having a fixing mechanism that can achieve miniaturization and simplification of the device, reduction in cost and in power consumption and quick starting at the same time. SOLUTION: One halogen heater 501 and a reflection plate 503 having a semicylindrical surface that covers the outside of the heater are provided below a platen that opposes a recording head. The halogen heater 501 applies preheating, main heating and after-heating to a recording medium P conveyed on the platen by one heater using radiant heat and convection heat by the reflection plate 503. |
