Disclosed is a warning device that detects and warns if the trunk of a car is open during the conveyor feeding process in automobile plants. The feed conveyor system employs feed conveyers(4) extending from assembly line or process line to inspection line in a factory, and a conveyor belt(6) that is connected to the feed conveyors(4) holds and moves the automobiles(2). The ultrasonic wave from ultrasonic wave generator(8) installed near feed conveyor(4) is projected toward the trunk(2A) and the reflected wave from the trunk is received by the ultrasonic wave receiver(10) installed near feed conveyor(4), then warning lamp(18) and buzzer also installed near the feed conveyor(4) operate if the trunk is open. The device prevents damage to the automobile body that can be induced when the trunk is open.
