<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal wood club head which is easily manufactured having a sufficient durability as well. SOLUTION: The inner face of the head body 5 is integrally formed with three ribs 35 extending from the sole 9 to the edge 29 of the opening on the back side and three 37 on the face side. Then, the ribs 35 on the center of the back side, as well as those ribs 37 on both ends of the face side, are extended slightly higher than the edge 29 of the opening, so that three supporting bases 39 are formed. Welding is performed from the outside with the annular part 27 for attaching a crown plate 7 placed on these supporting bases 39, thereby integrating fixedly the crown plate 7 with the head body 5.</p> |
