YELLOWING-RESISTANT AND WATER-REPELLENT TEXTILE STRUCTURE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a textile structure prevented from yellowing due to vanillin or the like found in NOX in the atmosphere and paper products, and having water repellency of high washing durability. SOLUTION: This textile structure comprising polyamide-based fiber is immersed in an alkyldiphenyl ether compound-contg. solution and then imparted with a mixed liquid containing a polyfluoroalkyl group-contg. acrylic copolymer and aminoplast resin and/or polyfunctional blocked isocyanate-contg. urethane resin followed by heat treatment. Addition of urea resin to the alkyldiphenyl ether compound-contg. solution improves the water repellency durability of this textile structure. The alkyldiphenyl ether compound is pref. a compound of the formula. Adjustment of the alkyldiphenyl ether compound-contg. solution to pH 2-6 often affords soft touch feeling of this textile structure.
