PHENOL ESTER DERIVATIVE, ITS PRODUCTION AND USE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound having chymase inhibiting action and useful as an agent for preventing and treating circulatory system diseases (e.g. hypertension, cardiac infarction, congestive cardiac insufficiency or vascular hyperplasia, etc.). SOLUTION: This compound is represented by formula I [R<1> and R<2> are each H, OH, a (substituted)lower alkyl, etc.; X is a (substituted)cyclic hydrocarbon or a heterocyclic ring; A is a direct bond or a (substituted)alkylene, etc.; Y is carbonyl, sulfonyl, etc.; Z is a (substituted)phenylene, imino, etc.; B is a direct bond, a lower alkylene, etc.; R<3> is an acyl, etc.], e.g. 1-[4-(3-indolylacetoxy) benzoyl]-4-piperidylcarboxylic acid. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting a compound of formula II with a compound of formula III.
