The structural error measuring method is composed of (a) measuring distance between hole centers of a hole plate to find a correct distance, then making three dimensional orthogonal coordinates of X, Y, Z on a table of CMM(coordinate measuring machine) when the error is measured; (b) and it is composed of positioning the hole plate to a X-Y reference plane of the three dimensional orthogonal coordinates, then measuring the distance between the hole centers by means of a CMM probe and comparing this measured distance with the correct distance to find respective distance error between the hole centers; (c) moving in parellel the hole plate as long as length of one side of the hole plate from the X-Y reference plane, then measuring the distance between the hole centers by means of a CMM probe and comparing this measured distance with the corrected distance to find the respective distance error between the hole centers; (d) finding the respective distance error between the hole centers with respect to the X-Y plane and the Y-Z plane and measuring a structural error of the three dimensional coordinate measuring machine using the distance error between the hole centers found.
