PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing the subject agent by making use of familiar materials such as mugwort leaves and peach leaves as herbs which the Japanese have been fond of since early times, or SHOCHU (low-class distilled spirits). SOLUTION: This dermatophytosis therapeutic agent is obtained by the following process: First, 200g mugwort leaves dried in the shade, 300g peach leaves dried in the shade, and SHOCHU are prepared in advance. Secondly, the SHOCHU is put into an earthenware or enamelware pot followed by heating for about 30min while being kept at about 60 deg.C to expel an excess of alcohol fraction and then the heating is ceased. Thirdly, 100g of the mugwort leaves and 300g of the peach leaves are added to the resultant SHOCHU and the mixture is left to stand for about 30min. After sufficiently infiltrating the leaves with the SHOCHU, the mixture is heated again so as to maintain the temperature of about 40 deg.C for one hour or so to effect extraction of active ingredients. Subsequently, the heating is ceased and the mixture is cooled and then subjected to filtration. |
