PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an activated carbon regeneration device for reducing energy required for regeneration of activated carbon by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: Electrodes 6 and 7 to be opened and closed freely are set on both ends of an insulated vessel 5 filled with used active carbon 8, and both electrodes are connected with a circuit constituted of a high voltage capacitor 2, a switch 3 and an inductor 4, and the voltage for starting discharge by an active carbon section filled in the insulated vessel 5 is set as Vbd, and the impedance of the active carbon section at the time of forming one discharge line is set as Z and the surge impedance of an electric circuit is set as Zo, and the relation of ZV/(Z+Zo)>Vbd is set up. High voltage short pulse voltage is applied to both electrodes 6 and 7 to form the multidischarge for a short time on the activated carbon section in the insulated vessel 5. V represents the charge voltage of the capacitor. |
