<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain surely golf balls of high quality with no dispersion in the initial performance, by specifying a moisture content right after cross-linking and molding the cross-linked rubber molding in the rase where the golf balls are manufactured having the cross-linked rubber molding resulted from cross- linking and molding the rubber components as component element. SOLUTION: For obtaining the golf balls with the cross-linked rubber molding as component element, the moisture content of the cross-linked rubber molding right after cross-linking and molding is limited to a value below 500ppm. This makes it possible to reproduce exactly hardness and restitution on the design. Even if this cross-linked rubber mold is subsequently wetted, deteriorating the hardness and restitution can be suppressed. As a rubber molding, it is preferred to use a mixture resulted from mixing such all constituents as a 100 weight base rubber having at least 80wt.-% of 1,4-dis-polybutadiene, a cross-linking agent 0.1-2 weight, an acrylic acid zinc base or magnesium base 5-50 weight and an inorganic filler 0-100 weight.</p> |
