The trailer comprises a polygonal axial carrier (1) and independent suspension arms (2) which oscillate at the ends of the axial carrier. Each suspension arm has a hollow tubular body with an angled zone (3). From one side of the angled zone is a first arm section (4,9) which is fixed to the wheel by a stub axle (5). From the other side of this zone is a straight section (6) which is introduced into the axial carrier. This straight section has longitudinal grooves (7) inside which are housed compressible elastic elements. The radii passing through the tops of the bosses separating the grooves are angularly displaced relative to the plane of curvature. This allows, during introduction of the straight section into the axle carrier, the first arm section to be positioned along a predetermined inclination corresponding to the chosen ground headroom.
