PURPOSE:To provide a thermal transfer image-receiving sheet having favorable printability and curling resistance by providing face-side and back-side resin film layers, an intermediate layer with a specified thickness provided on at least one of the opposite sides, and an adhesive layer for adhering the layers in a body. CONSTITUTION:A face-side intermediate layer 2 is bound to the lower side of a face-side resin film layer 1, a back-side intermediate layer 4 is bound to the upper side of a back-side resin film layer 5, and the face-side and back- side intermediate layers are adhered to each other by an adhesive layer 3 to form a base sheet in one body. Each of the resin film layers comprises a resin film, which is a biaxially stretched multilayer film comprising a mixture of a polyolefin resin and an inorganic pigment as a main constituent. Each of the intermediate layers comprises a mixture of a pigment and a binder as a main constituent, and has a thickness of 10-50mum. The material for the adhesive layer may be selected from polyether adhesives or other adhesives, among which a heat-resistant dry laminating adhesive is preferred. |
