The windscreen wiper blade (10) has an upper anchoring part (12) which is connected to the wiper support structure (13). It has an upper elastomer heel (20,22) which is reinforced by a longitudinal vertebra (34) inserted in a longitudinal groove (20) in the heel. The vertebra, which has a constant transverse section, is elastically fitted into the groove which has a concave profile complementary to the convex profile of the vertebra. The groove is connected to the heel side face by a reduced section passage (36) with faces (38) parallel and perpendicular to the heel side face.
