The blade (10) comprises an upper anchoring part (12) which is connected to the windscreen wiper support structure (13). It has an elastomer upper heel (20,22) reinforced by a longitudinal vertebra (34) which is inserted transversely in a longitudinal groove (26) in the heel. This groove emerges in a lateral face (28) of the heel. The vertebra extends outside the groove and partially surrounds the heel upper part (39). The vertebra which has a transverse C section has its lower branch (34I) inserted in the groove and its upper parallel branch (34S) extending opposite the heel upper face. The vertebra central branch (34C) extends at right angles to the heel side face.
