The petrol station has a number of petrol delivery pumps (100), each incorporating a pump (110) to draw petrol from the storage tank (10), a petrol delivery hose (140) and a pipe (150) to return vapour. The vapour return pipe has a sleeve (151) at one end to collect vapour coming from the vehicle fuel tank and has an internal conduit (152) to carry the vapour away at the other end. The petrol station has a single vapour recovery unit (200) common to all the petrol pumps with suction units (210,220) drawing vapour through external hoses (230) connected to the internal conduit (152) and returning the vapour to the main storage tank.
