RECESSED EMERGENCY LUMINAIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recessed emergency luminaire that requires easy mounting work and ensures secure fixation of its hinge part. SOLUTION: A luminaire body 1 comprises a mounting frame 10 and a lighting block 3. The frame 10 is suspended by a mounting bolt 6 at the back of a recession 5 in a building material 4 such as a ceiling member. The lighting block 3, which involves a light source 40 and an emergency light block 36 for actuating the light source 40, is attached to the frame 10. The frame 10 is mounted on its top plate 12 with a battery box 2 held turnable via a hinge part 23, which box serves to feed a power source to the emergency light block 36 at emergency lighting. For fitting that luminaire in the recession 5, it is totally inserted in that recession 5 from the interior side with the battery box 2 turned at substantial right angles to the plane of the plate 12 within the horizontal projection of the luminaire body 1.
