Computer system processor cooling fan control method

A control method for controlling the speed (revs) of fans (L) in a processor system using control logic (KL) for controlling the processor (P) output. The control logic generates a pulse-width modulated (PWM) signal (e. g PSS) for the processor which switches into a corresponding output (power) state, in relation to the pulse-width of the discrete pulses of this signal. The pulse-width modulated signal (PSS) which is relayed to the processor (P) is additionally tapped off at a driver circuit (TS) in order to generate a supply voltage, in dependence of the pulse-width of the discrete pulses of this signal, for controlling the revs of the controlled fan (L).
