PURPOSE:To improve the quality of thermosetting resin molding material and increase the productivity largely by a method wherein carrier films have their surfaces coming in contact with the molding material coated previously with a separate pasty material in the form of a thin film. CONSTITUTION:By impregnating with the paste 2 comprising a mixture of thermosetting resin, filling agent, additive, etc., is formed as reinforced fiber a mixture of chopped strand 6 of glass roving 5, the so-called thermosetting resin molding material. The resin molding material is scraped off by a scraper 8 and is dropped to draw-off rollers 9 and 9' to be temporarily collected at the upper part thereof. On the other hand, carrier films 10 and 10' are fed from left and right and, when they turn in the vertical direction, the thermosetting resin molding material at the upper part of the draw-off rollers 9 and 9' is held between the two sheets of the carrier films 10 and 10' and is carried downwards thereby. During this time, before reaching the draw-off rollers 9 and 9', the carrier films 10 and 10' have their upper surface coated thinly and evenly with a paste 12 by second doctor knives 11 and 11'. |
