The computer connection control circuit of an image formation device has a function of controlling the data reception by means of a video controller from a computer in accordance with an immediate recovery possibility upon an abnormal state of an engine. The computer connection control circuit of the image formation device comprises: a memory in which engine state and the information as to whether the immediate recovery possibility upon the abnormal state of the engine are stored; and a controller for reading the engine state from the memory to determine whether the engine is abnormal and immediately recovered upon the abnormal state and for controlling print data reception of the video controller, upon print command reception of the computer, in accordance with the determined result.
