<p>The system comprises a screw (12) and nut (18), and a slot formed in a sheet-like component (20) by displacing the material thereof within the width of the slot in one direction normal to the plane of the sheet (20). The extent of the displacement is limited to less than the transverse dimensions of the nut (18). The width of the slot is at least substantially equal to the thickness of the nut (18). The nut (18) is axially located by the slot and engaged with the screw (12) which extends through a hole in the other component (10), the shank axis extending at least parallel to the plane of the said one component (20).</p> |
