PURPOSE:To measure the inclination of a wave front contactlessly by projecting a laser beam in a specific upward direction from in water, receiving the laser beam which is refracted by the water surface on a screen, and picking up an image of the laser beam spot. CONSTITUTION:The laser light 1 which is emitted by a laser light source 1 is guided by an optical system 12 and emitted upward vertically from in the water. A translucent white screen 8 is installed horizontally on the water surface. Further, an image pickup device 9 such as a CCD camera is installed above the screen 8 to pick up the image of the laser beam spot on the screen 8. The output signal of the device 9 is supplied to a VRT 14 and observed on a monitor television 15. Further, the signal from the VTR 14, on the other hand, is supplied to an image reader 17 and the coordinates of the spot on the screen 8 are read. The coordinate values are used by an arithmetic unit 18 to calculate the inclination of the wave front 2b from the spot position on the screen 8. |
