Raising process for sunken ships and other objects
摘要
The raising process involves filling compartments (2-5) and/or bounded cavities with a number of elements which are lighter than water. The filling elements are elastic capsules (10), initially having a small volume and a density which is greater than that of water. The capsules contain one or more substances which emit a gas which resists liquefication by the hydrostatic water pressure at the depth of the sunken object, and thus cause the ship to be raised. The capsules may be loaded into the compartments from a special submersible distributor.
