In a process for SO2 removal from cement-making plant off-gases, at least part of the off-gases from the raw material preheater (2) are cooled and passed through the clinker grinding unit (5) for absorption of their SO2 content by the cement particles, while hot off-gases from the clinker cooler (3) are supplied as drying gases to the coarse mill (4a) of the raw material grinding unit (4).
