A vibration producing device (11) is connected to one end of a vibration applicator element (7) for applying the vibration treatment to the human body. The vibration applicator is a standing surface for the patient's feet in the form of a foot plate. The foot plate is mounted on vibration absorbing elements (8,9) which can be for example rubber blocks. A seat (21) on an adjustable support (19) is provided for the patient and handle bars (16) are set at the correct height to support the patient in the forward direction. The whole unit can be made mobile by mounting on castors (6).
