The invention concerns a fast locking connector comprising a socket (1) with a bore (8, 11), a plug (2) with an external flange (6) capable of being inserted into the bore, a locking ring (3) mounted radially sliding in a housing (10) of the socket, dividing the bore into an inlet section (8) and a main section (11), the ring being movable between a first position where it is eccentric with respect to the bore and a second position where it is substantially coaxial with this bore and comprising, in one single piece, in the form of at least one strip (12, 13) resilient means co-operating with the housing (10) for returning the ring (3) in its first position. The invention is characterised in that the ring (3) comprises on the side of the bore inlet section (8), a support plate (9) projecting on the side of the strip (12, 13), which strip, at least at its free end, being of width (L) measured parallel to the connector axis, less than the thickness (E) of the ring (3) minus the thickness (<u>e</u>) of the plate (9) measured along this same axial direction.
