The electric connector terminal is fastened in a base of insulating material. The clamp has a U-shaped bracket (4) to receive an electric conductor or lead (28) between its side legs (7,8). It also has a press member (20) which acts on the conductor or lead (28). A second U-shaped bracket (6) is also provided. The middle limb (14) of this bracket (6) has a threaded bore (16) in which a clamp screw (18) is held. The press member (20) is rotatably fastened to the clamp screw (18). The side legs (9,10) of the second bracket (6) are pivotally connected to the side legs (7,8) of the first U-shaped bracket (4).
