Preforming station of press-blow glass moulding machine

A preforming station (2) of a press-blow glass moulding machine, for hollow glass article production, has (a) a punch (24) which reciprocates in a spring-biased sleeve (33); (b) a split mouth-forming tool (54) which is engaged and centred by the end of the extended sleeve (33) and which cooperates with a preforming mould (6, 7 18) of the preforming station (2) during press moulding of a parison (9), transfers the parison to a finishing mould of a finish moulding station after punch retraction and then returns to the preforming station (2); and (c) a guide ring (45) which is arranged concentrically to the punch within the mouth-forming tool (54) and which has a guide opening for radial guiding of the punch, a concentric recess for forming a lip (61) on the parison mouth (11) and an outer ring (56) guided in a radial groove of the mouth-forming tool (54). The novelty is that (i) the guide ring (45) is divided into radially inner and outer rings (44, 56), the inner ring (44) projecting axially outwards over the axially outer end of the sleeve (33) and having its axially inner end centred relative to the sleeve by the axially outer sleeve end and coupled by a coupling device (48); and (ii) the outer end position of the sleeve (33) is defined by an abutment face of the inner ring (44) seating on an abutment shoulder of the mouth-forming tool (54).
