Movement detector operating method for control and alarm systems

The operating method for a movement detector uses an illumination control (BA) for switching off the light sources used for illuminating the monitored area upon detection of movement, after a defined delay interval (tv). The brightness threshold signal for processing the movement signal is raised during the delay interval in dependence on the difference between the brightness without the light sources being switched in and the brightness level with the light sources switched in.
