The present invention pertains to a waste loading device (1) as well as a method for loading a waste chamber or a waste transport device (2). The loading device (1) comprises a vault (6) in which an endless umbilical screw (8) is installed both for waste (2) transport and shredding. For the shredding process, said endless umbilical screw (8) and/or the vault (6) are fitted with elements designed to absorb the forces generated by the relative motion between one (8) and the other (6).The vault (6) also presents a second discharge opening (63) which can be closed and is used to remove the waste (2) which cannot be shredded from the space where the endless umbilical screw is installed. Such a device enables the continuing operation of the system and can also be used as a loading device for a distillation unit.
