Samples are delivered to an analyzer (1) via a tube (11), whose tip is enclosed in a sealed envelope (2). Liquid enters the envelope through an osmotic membrane (20) which is kept clean by small brushes (21). After sampling liquid is expelled from the envelope by air pressure (14). It is refilled when the envelope is connected to atmospheric pressure (6)
